Here at Canvasdesign we print your photos on to canvas using only original Epson and Canon inks. The result is that your prints are extremely colourful and vibrant and will not fade over time. The inks we use are guaranteed for 75 years plus by Epson and Canon.
The material used for printing your canvas print is made of a polycotton blend to ensure the best quality product every time. There are no cotton seeds in our canvas material, so that perfect wedding dress will not get distracted by a nasty cotton black mark.
The canvas bars that we use are made from 100% true pine and are purchased from suppliers that use renewable sources within the UK only. Our bars are not shipped in from China and are manufactured all from the United Kingdom. Our canvas prints are available in two bar profiles. Our most common profile is the chunky 38mm because it has a more expensive look and feel to it but is exceptional value. The slimmer 18mm bar, is more economical and cheaper, but some people actually prefer that it sits closer to the wall. Both bar profiles will never warp on the wall because they are made from true solid pine.
As well as all of this, we offer our customers the opportunity to add a coating / varnish to the canvas print at checkout. This does a number of things to the finished print.
1. Adds depth to the overall colour of the canvas print.
2. Increases the lightfastness of the inks to more than 75 years.
3. Reduces scuff marks and damages to darker canvas prints, especially blacks.
Every stage of the creative and manufacturing process is carried out at our Studio and Factory in Darwen, Lancashire. We receive your images from the website, prepare them for printing and finally we hand frame and ship the finished canvas print to you. All of this is done by Canvasdesign's skilled workforce who are all from the local area. We believe in supporting local workers which in turn supports the local community.
The single biggest question we always get asked is What is Gallery Wrap? The answer is quite simple and we have also created a simple graphic below to illustrate the difference between "Bleed ON" and "Bleed OFF"
Bleed On is when the image is mirrored and wraps around the edge of the stretcher bar. Bleed OFF is when the edge of the frame is white.
Instead of use trying to explain how to hang your canvas print to the wall using the FREE hanging bracket supplied, we thought we would make a video which shows exactly how to do this very simple task.
